Japanese Calligrapher,
Mr. Eimatsu Kojima has been involved in teaching and demonstrating Japanese calligraphy in Queensland for approximately 30 years. He has been performing at the Consulate’s cultural events at the Queen Street Mall Stage, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, and vising various schools.
He was awarded the 2019 Foreign Minister’s Commendation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in recognition of his endeavours.
This Commendation is awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and their respective countries.
He is 9th Dan Judge of The Great Japan Calligraphy Art Academy [officially approved by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan] and master of The International Brush Painting Association.

Mrs. Fumiko Kojima has been involved in teaching and demonstrating Japanese ink painting and calligraphy in Queensland for approximately 30 years. She has been performing at the Consulate’s cultural events at the Queen Street Mall Stage, Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, and vising various schools.
She is a master of The International Brush Painting Association and 9th Dan Judge of The Great Japan Calligraphy Art Academy [officially approved by The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan].
