The BJLC school is here to meet the needs of individual student. We wish to form a great friendship with you and also between classmates in fun and relaxed learning environment.
We offer you courses which cover all skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, but also give choices to select specific skills needed to strengthen for your purposes.
We also provide private tutoring for all levels of students, flexible lesson plans for busy people on shift work and intensive immersion lessons during your holiday.

I have been studying at BJLC for 1 year. I chose BJLC because I thought the levels of classes offered were good, I liked the idea of smaller, more personalized classes and I liked that the teachers are Japanese people. I think the one-on-one type classes are great for conversation. It's such a friendly class.
I have achieved my goals so far! I can definitely understand and speak more Japanese than before. I am learning kanji, and I have taken a JLPT test (I haven't got my results yet!).
My teacher is wonderful! She's very friendly and explains things very well in class.

I have gained confidence in speaking and I’ve learned many new words, kanji and sentence structures. Maki-sensei and other teachers I’ve had as well have all been very supportive and kind. Maki-sensei is always very patient, too! I would recommend studying Japanese with BJLC to anyone who wants to learn or practice Japanese. BJLC classes are great for any Japanese ability (beginner to more advanced) and also incorporates culture and a great environment to learn.

Taking Japanese lessons has significantly increased my confidence in speaking Japanese. My teachers are very supportive, patient and take time to explain grammar points and their usage in real world spoken Japanese not converted in textbooks. Teachers are fantastic and the other students are great to study with. Apart from learning the language, we would also cover Japanese customs and culture. I haven’t known much about Japanese before including Hiragana and Katakana. After I have studied with BJLC, I can speak in Japanese with a simple sentence structure, introduce myself in Japanese and read out the Hiragana and Katakana when I see them on the product’s package or shop’s sign. As a beginner, I spent not much time to study in Japanese, however, I really learned much from BJLC. To be honest, my teacher helps a lot during my study. She is very patient, the pronunciation is perfect and clear and is able to translate the complicated meaning to English. She is experienced in teaching, she knows the student needs and the common mistake. She is not only teaching with the textbook but also sharing the Japanese culture with us. I’m quite lucky that I can have that wonderful teacher to teach me Japanese.
I highly recommend to study Japanese with BJLC; small study group, a friendly and experience Japanese teachers, flexible time and class.
