🏯 [Hiroshima / Miyajima] Recommended Spots! Enjoy Japan’s History, Nature, and Gourmet Food

Hello! If you love traveling in Japan, today we have a special destination to introduce—Miyajima in Hiroshima!

🌊 Where is Miyajima? Miyajima is a small island located in Hiroshima Prefecture. It's surrounded by beautiful seas and mountains and is home to a World Heritage shrine. It’s a popular spot visited by many international tourists.

⛩️ 1. Famous Spot: Itsukushima Shrine Itsukushima Shrine is a shrine built over the sea, famous for its large red torii gate. When the tide is high, the gate looks like it’s floating on the water. It’s truly breathtaking!

  • The shrine was originally built over 1,400 years ago.

  • The current structure was designed by Taira no Kiyomori, a warlord from the Heian period.

  • The shrine is beautifully lit up at night—very romantic!

🌟Highlight: Itsukushima Shrine is the only “floating” shrine in Japan!

🦌 2. The Deer of Miyajima Miyajima is home to many deer. In the past, they were considered messengers of the gods. Today, they roam wild, but they are friendly and can often be seen up close.

❗Important: Please do not feed the deer. Be sure to follow the rules.

🏞️ 3. Enjoy the View from Mt. Misen

  • Fried oysters (kaki fry)
