こけし祭（まつ）りは 9月（がつ）の 第一（だいいち）土曜日（どようび）と
日曜日（にちようび）に あります。
神社（じんじゃ）で 古（ふる）い こけしを 火で燃（も）やして 供養（くよう）した
り、こけしの 職人（しょくにん）を 表彰（ひょうしょう）したり します。

Cultural Note: In Japan, it is believed that the part of the spirit or emotion of the child is transferred to dolls. Therefore, often the dolls are taken to the shrine or temple for devotion to pay special respect and appreciation for their service. If you have seen Konmari method, you see this type of ritual that she thanks to old items before letting go.
